A boutique gathering of 50 BC veterinary professionals — the kind of room where referrals are made, mentors are found, and colleagues become friends. That was the whole point of the day: bringing our local veterinary community together.

The conversation extended onto a stunning Pacific Northwest course. Attendees joined the 18-hole scramble or a private group lesson with a pro — no experience needed. Another excuse to spend the day with colleagues, on their terms.

Emergency & Critical Care Specialist
With over three decades of dedication to animals in critical conditions, Dr. Enberg's expertise spans critical care medicine. He is RECOVER BLS, ALS, and Post Recovery Certified, as well as Fear Free Certified — bringing both depth of knowledge and compassionate practice to every case. Dr. Enberg currently practices as a specialist at Vancouver Animal Emergency and Referral Centre (VAERC).

Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist
A small animal internist with 8+ years of experience, Dr. Wolff brings a rare blend of clinical excellence and strategic leadership. Their background spans medicine service building, national advocacy, mentorship, and scientific research — making them one of the most dynamic voices in veterinary internal medicine today. Dr. Wolff currently practices as a specialist at Vancouver Animal Emergency and Referral Centre (VAERC).

Ceasefire: Negotiating Peace in Autoimmune Care: Part two of our specialist-led series, focusing on navigating complex autoimmune cases with a dual-perspective approach (Criticalist vs. Internist).

Refuel and reconnect. Enjoy a full gourmet spread—including entrees, mains, and desserts—with ample time to network with fellow practitioners. This is your time to step away from the lecture and build the community connections that make our profession thrive.
Tournament Play or Group Lessons
Tournament Play: Take to the pristine fairways of Tsawwassen Springs for an afternoon of social, scramble-style play. Whether you are a regular on the green or just out for the fresh air, this 18-hole experience is designed for connection and friendly competition across one of the region's most scenic courses. The Development Clinic: For those newer to the game or looking to refine their form, join the Tsawwassen Springs Academy professionals for a private group clinic. This session offers a casual, low-pressure introduction to the foundations of the game, from grip and posture to your first drive.

A Vision for Community
Links & Learning is a passion project founded by Dr. Adam Avitan, born from a simple belief: that British Columbia's veterinary community deserves a room of its own. The CE lectures and golf experiences are genuinely valuable — but they're really the excuse to bring local DVMs and RVTs together. Dr. Avitan created a space where professional growth and personal connection coexist, where the day prioritizes quality over quantity, and where colleagues become friends over a shared meal, a shared case discussion, or a shared walk on the course. It is a boutique retreat designed for the modern veterinary professional — community first, everything else a bonus.
